Senior Medical Manager – Vaccines
We are currently supporting a specialist global pharma company hire a Senior Medical Manager. In this strategic and scientific role you will be an integral part of the UK medical affairs function, work closely with international counterparts and be heavily involved in a variety of externally facing and strategic medical affairs activities.
This role will interact closely with other functions across the organisation including Commercial, Regulatory, Health Economics to ensure collaborative connectivity with these key stakeholders, and a focused medical approach to supporting country and regional business objectives. You will contribute to the implementation of objectives by leading and executing the medical strategy for one or more products or portfolios in the UK and Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic medical/scientific expertise and guidance to enable implementation of the medical and commercial activities, regulatory and health economics submissions
- Provide medical direction to address and support projects (data generation, IIR, publication strategy)
- Provision of medical and clinical leadership in key activities such as product launches, conference activities, issues management, competitor complaints
- Actively develop Therapy Area Knowledge / Scientific Exchange and Liaise with Medical and Scientific Community
- Ensure compliance of promotional and non-promotional materials with Industry Codes of conduct, policies and regulatory requirements
- Deputise for the UK Medical Director as required
The Candidate:
- UK registered, MD or MPharm
- Experienced ABPI final signatory
- Advantageous to have a clinical or pharmaceutical background in vaccines
- Prior pre or post product launch experience would be desirable
- Collaborative, team-oriented with good written and spoken communication skills
Remuneration:
- Basic annual salary depending on experience plus a standard benefits package
