Senior Global Medical Information Specialist

Pharma-Partners is supporting a well-established small Global pharma company to appoint a permanent member of the UK-based Global Medical Information team. This business is has a long legacy and therapeutic expertise, with new biologics having been added to their marketed portfolio and pipeline in the last 2-3 years. This role reports to the Global Head of Medical Information, and will work closely with external and internal stakeholders across countries to deliver high quality medical information services.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for the delivery of timely, high quality and accurate scientific medical information and to deliver robust actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders
  • As required, contribute to the development of QMS documentation in line with GxP
  • Lead Congress Medical Information booth activities and actively participate in Global Medical Affairs Strategy Teams/Commercial strategy teams
  • Lead analytical activities by interpreting, executing and delivering key insights from the Global Medical Information database
  • Mentor and train relevant members of the Global Medical Information team (including less senior members of the team), as well as Medical Information colleagues at affiliate level, and external vendors
  • Provide technical support to users of the Global Medical Information Database

Requirements:

  • Life Science Degree
  • An experience medical information professional in pharmaceutical medicine, coming from an in-house MI role rather than from a third party/vendor structure
  • Proven technical and scientific writing skills
  • Excellent face-to-face communication skills in order to engage with HCPs
  • Proven high level of compliance awareness and knowledge when reviewing materials and authorising SOPs
  • Seasoned user of MI databases and systems
  • Experience of mentoring and/or training more junior MI colleagues is preferable but not essential
