UK Medical Governance Manager
Pharma-Partners is supporting a small well-established Global pharmaceutical business with a newly created hire for its UK medical function This company markets a number of biosimilar products in the UK, with treatments across a wide variety of therapy areas.
Reporting to the UK Medical Director, you will take on the role of medical affairs governance and excellence “champion” within the business, working closely with cross-functional teams on various activities and projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading medical compliance activities in line with company regulatory and ethical standards, also ensuring adherence to the ABPI Code of Practice
- Developing and executing medical governance policies and drawing up appropriate SOPs to be used internally
- Leading the training of colleagues and cross-functional teams on all medical compliance matters
- Act as an ABPI Final Medical Signatory for the business as required (this workload is also undertaken by other members of the team)
- Handle and process any PMCPA complaints or intercompany dialogues
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies on all and any medical compliance and governance matters on behalf of the company
- Support and review risk management of Global activities involving UK KOLs and HCPs in line with the ABPI Code of Practice
Requirements:
- Qualified physician or pharmacist (GMC/GPhC registered)
- Post-qualification experience in clinical medicine or clinical/retail pharmacy in the NHS or an equivalent setting
- Medical Affairs experience in the UK pharmaceutical industry is required
- ABPI Final Medical Signatory status is required
- Someone who is firm but also able to keep colleagues on-side and warm to facing problem-solving together as a team
- High attention to detail
- Good experience of project management, for example involvement in audits and compliance initiatives
