Quality Assurance
Quality Assurance and Quality Control are processes that ensure that products and services meet specific standards and customer expectations. QA focuses on the system processes and methods used to prevent defects during the development or production stages. QC deals with identifying and fixing defects within the final products through inspections, testing, and other methods. While QA is proactive, QC is reactive, identifying issues after production.
Recruiting for QA and QC roles requires identifying candidates with a strong understanding of process management, attention to detail, and technical expertise. For QA positions, employers usually seek individuals with skills in process development, risk management, and continuous improvement. For QC roles, candidates are expected to have experience in testing methodologies, data analysis, and problem-solving. Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential in both areas, as collaboration with various departments is often necessary.
