UK Senior Medical Advisor

Pharma-Partners working with a small well-established Global pharma business, to hire a medical affairs physician or pharmacist to join them as a Senior Medical Advisor. Reporting to the UK Head of Medical Affairs, you will work in a small collaborative team to look after a portfolio of specialty products within a therapy area this business is solely dedicated to.

This role sits in medical though will have a lot of variety day-to-day and will be a "go-to" person for various divisions of this business, as local medical affairs strategy is executed in line with Regional and Global medical plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to providing medical input into commercial decision-making for assigned products
  • Help develop and maintain national relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), and other external stakeholders
  • Provide efficient and ethical compliance guidance for all medical matters, in accordance with codes of practice (ABPI, IPHA) and internals SOPs
  • Work with wider affiliate functions such as Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, and Medical Information, to support the medical management of assigned products
  • Support senior medical affairs leaders, where appropriate deputising in internal cross-functional meetings and contributing to decision-making

Requirements:

  • Qualified physician or pharmacist (GMC or GPhC registered)
  • Significant post-qualification experience in clinical medicine or clinical pharmacy (NHS or equivalent)
  • Experience in industry in medical affairs is required, ideally as a Medical Advisor or equivalent
  • ABPI Final Signatory status is required
  • Experience in biologics would be an advantage
  • A clear and calm communicator
  • A confident presenter, who is not afraid to raise their hand and make suggestions
  • Someone happy to work outside of their job description at times, and roll their sleeves up for the benefit of the team
