UK Senior Medical Advisor - Neurology

Pharma-Partners working with a large Global pharmaceutical business to recruit a newly-created role, as part of a growing UK & Ireland medical affairs team focused on Neurology.

Working closely with senior leaders, including the UK Country Medical Director and other departmental heads, you will take the medical lead on a product launch in 2020 and then be in a prime position to drive further pre-launch activity in additional areas of CNS in the next 2-3 years. This role sits in medical though will have a lot of variety day-to-day, and will be a "go-to" person for various divisions of this business as launch strategy is executed in line with Regional and Global medical plans.


  • Contribute to providing medical input into commercial decision-making for marketed and pre-launch Neurology products
  • Help develop and maintain national relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), and other external stakeholders
  • Provide efficient and ethical compliance guidance for all medical matters, in accordance with codes of practice (ABPI, IPHA) and internals SOPs
  • Work with wider affiliate functions such as Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, and Medical Information, to support the medical management of marketed and pipeline Neurology products
  • Support senior medical affairs leaders, where appropriate deputising in internal cross-functional meetings and contributing to decision-making


  • Qualified physician (GMC registered)
  • Significant post-qualification experience in clinical medicine (NHS or equivalent)
  • Experience in industry in medical affairs is required, ideally as a Medical Advisor or equivalent
  • Experience in Neurology or a related therapy area is preferred
  • An ABPI Final Signatory is hugely desirable, though candidates who can achieve this quickly with a new employer's support will also be considered
  • A clear and calm communicator
  • A confident presenter, who is not afraid to raise their hand and make suggestions
  • Someone happy to work outside of their job description at times, and roll their sleeves up for the benefit of the team
