UK Medical Science Liaison - Infectious Disease (flexible territory)
Pharma-Partners is working exclusively with an established global pharmaceutical organisation to help recruit a permanent MSL into the UK & Ireland medical affairs team. This company has a specialist presence in the Infectious Diseases & Virology market, with multiple product launches planned for 2021-2022.
This MSL role would operate in a small UK field-based team and report to the UK Medical Director. You would manage medical activity for a portfolio of established products, as well as provide significant pre-launch support in your region for a new products coming to market this year, closely working with field commercial, market access, and the head office medical affairs team.
Responsibilities:
- Help build the scientific credibility of the organisation, through engagement with local and national Key External Experts and Opinion Leaders in the therapy area
- Work closely with medical affairs colleagues as well as market access, commercial, and regulatory to ensure smooth execution of product launch plans
- As required, provide scientific educational presentations to relevant external groups and stakeholders
- Identify Investigator Initiated Studies that will enable delivery of presentations at National and International meetings / conferences
- Provide medical information support in the field
- Respond to medical enquiries from Healthcare Professionals in the field as required
Requirements:
- Life Science degree (ideally PhD / BPharm / MPharm)
- Either, a current pharma MSL with experience in Infectious Diseases / Virology or interested to step in to this therapy area
- Or, a Scientist or Pharmacist with Infectious Disease / Virology expertise looking at their first step in to medical affairs in UK pharma
- A good understanding of relationship building and how to network with Key Opinion Leaders and HCPs
- A pro-active and open-minded approach to working in teams
- First rate communication skills - both verbal and written
