Senior Scientific Advisor

Pharma-Partners is currently working with a specialist pharma company seeking a Senior Scientific Advisor to join their close-knit medical team. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with experience in Medical Affairs as either a Scientific or Medical Advisor (or equivalent).

In addition to being a line manager of one report the Senior Scientific Advisor will be responsible for the development and delivery of the UK Medical Affairs plan, act as the scientific expert for the designated portfolio and work closely with the MSL team in field activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Therapy area expert for UK business
  • Line manage a Scientific Advisor
  • Devise and implement the medical strategy for the portfolio and pipeline products
  • Liaise with global teams in aligning local strategy
  • Effectively collaborate with marketing, brand teams and other key stakeholders
  • Train field and office based team on scientific data
  • Review and approve medico-marketing materials as required
  • Lead on educational meetings and advisory boards
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with local, regional and national KOL's
  • Provide support to Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance colleagues
  • Support the field MSL team

The Candidate:

  • Degree and appropriate UK registration in Medicine or Pharmacy
  • Candidates must have experience in Medical Affairs
  • ABPI Final Signatory is desirable however the successful candidate could be trained
  • UK healthcare knowledge and experience
  • Excellent presentation and project management skills
  • Therapy area experience in Consumer Health, Devices or Cosmetics is desirable
