Senior Medical Affairs Manager - Distributor Markets

I am currently working with a global, patient-dedicated biotechnology company focused on discovering, developing, and delivering high-quality medicines for people living with rare diseases. This newly created Senior Medical Affairs Manager will support Distributor Medical Affairs Teams to support the long-term growth of the product portfolio, and partner closely with the Distributor Marketing business, and other functions. It will lead specific innovation projects to help drive overall medical affairs effectiveness, including process improvement and enhanced knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities:

  • Disseminate to, and train distributor medical teams, on all medical materials and activities and provide guidance on adoption and adaptation, where appropriate
  • Support regional medical tactics and medical project management, integration and co-ordinated delivery, where appropriate
  • In partnership with Distributors, develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders
  • Develop strong relationships with all Distributor Partner Medical teams to provide strategic guidance
  • Share best practice between countries where necessary through material provision, support, and recommendations
  • Demonstrate a high level of product, therapeutic area, and competitor knowledge of the markets, working with cross functional teams to provide appropriate and timely training
  • Provide strong leadership and act as a role model for company behaviours and values ensuring partners are highly engaged and excel in their performance.

Requirements:

  • MD, MPharm or PhD preferred, life science degree required
  • Significant experience working in medical affairs at a regional or global level, ideally involved with distributor markets
  • Experience working in rare diseases or related fields would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
