Senior Medical Advisor - Oncology

Pharma-Partners is working with a fast-growing UK-headquartered global pharmaceutical company, to help expand its UK affiliate medical affairs function. This organisation has key products across different areas of Oncology and you would be joining them at an important time, with significant post-launch activities in full swing.

This role would work in a small yet growing affiliate team which would give you a highly visible position within the business, including interactions with the regional and global medical affairs team that are also based locally. Working closely with the UK Head of Medical for Oncology, you would have the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the affiliate leadership team to develop and maintain an effective medical plan for your assigned products, including a KOL development strategy and ISS strategy
  • Management of compliance for promotional materials in line with regulations such as the ABPI Code of Practice, including supporting other departments with compliance adherence
  • Work closely with Market Access colleagues to ensure the efficient execution of local reimbursement plans
  • Ensuring strong relationships are maintained with external stakeholders such as HCPs, KOLs, as well as regulatory bodies such as the MHRA and NICE
  • Support the workload designation of other colleagues in UK medical affairs, including the likes of MSLs in the field
  • Work closely with Regional and Global colleagues in medical and other departments, to execute medical affairs plans and align to this company's overall global strategy

Candidate requirement include:

  • Qualified Physician or Pharmacist (GMC or GhPC registered)
  • Experience in medical affairs in pharmaceutical medicine
  • Oncology experience is highly desirable
  • ABPI Final Signatory status is preferred though not essential depending on the depth of your experience (clinically or in industry) in Oncology
  • Good knowledge of the NHS with a proven track record of collaborating with KOLs and analysing scientific and clinical data to support medical strategy
  • Someone who is motivated to work in a smaller organisation where decision-making is fast paced
