Senior Compliance Specialist

Pharma-Partners are currently supporting a specialist pharmaceutical company hire a integral position of Senior Compliance Specialist.

As a member of the compliance team and working closely with the UK Compliance Director this role will be key to delivering clear and integrated compliant solutions, supporting the business and other areas of the organization in managing the compliance risks and be heavily involved in upcoming audits and organisational changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice to cross functional teams on risks, new regulations, standards, internal policies and procedures (SOPs), as well as regulatory and reputational matters.
  • Actively participate in the Project Concept form meetings organized by Business Interaction Owners.
  • Provide guidance to the business on any cross border engagement affecting the company on a timely manner.
  • Provide support to the business in Third Party Risk Management process, as required by global standards
  • Perform part of the affiliate's compliance monitoring program to regularly assess compliance risks and controls.
  • Timely record management, investigation and reporting of compliance incident investigations
  • Assist in responding to alleged breaches of rules, regulations, policies procedures, and Codes of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures

Candidate Requirements:

  • Life science degree - preference for health sciences/pharmacy degrees
  • Strong knowledge of ABPI/ IPHA Code of Practices
  • Experience in a compliance role managing compliance programmes and controls
  • Experience in data protection and privacy, with a good understanding of the evolving regulations other compliance matters (e.g. anti-bribery and corruption)
  • Effective and influential written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and project management skills

Salary & Remuneration:

  • Basic annual salary depending on experience plus a standard benefits package
