Scientific Advisor - UK

Pharma-Partners are currently supporting a specialist pharmaceutical company hire a Scientific Advisor for their UK affiliate.

As a member of the medical affairs team you will work closely with the Head of Medical Affairs, Medical Advisors and MSLs giving someone the chance to learn and develop in a number of medical affairs activities. The company will provide training and support to become a final signatory and you will also work on a variety of products both marketed and pre launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep up-to-date with scientific literature and guidelines with publication alerts and literature searches
  • Attend appropriate scientific meetings and congresses to enhance expertise on the relevant therapy areas and share insights to support business needs
  • Act as the primary data expert across therapy areas to support scientific medical and marketing activities
  • Maintain current awareness of the brand teams by identifying and disseminating new published data
  • Demonstrate scientific leadership within the brand team: work closely with the brand teams in developing promotional claim guides, promotional campaign and training materials for the sales force
  • Support market access teams with scientific data required for HTA and formulary submissions, as required
  • Work with the medical team in the development and execution of the scientific and medical strategy
  • Support the medical information and pharmacovigilance service by second-line handling complex enquiries

Candidate Requirements:

  • UK registered pharmacist
  • Experience in UK pharmaceutical industry would be beneficial
  • Good knowledge about code requirements (ABPI/IPHA/EFPIA)
  • Therapy area expertise in CNS and Renal, desirable but not essential
  • Experience in healthcare or research environment
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of ultimate patient needs

Salary & Remuneration:

  • Basic annual salary depending on experience plus a standard benefits package
