PV & Medical Information Manager

Pharma-Partners is supporting a small well-established Global pharmaceutical company to hire a PV & Med Info Manager position. This is an important role in the UK & Ireland affiliate team, ensuring the business is adhering to local and international regulations as well as internal procedures for both pharmacovigilance and medical information. This person will also act as the Local Safety Officer for the UK & Ireland

This organisation has a growing portfolio of new-to-market biologics, and this role will see the successful candidate work on various projects alongside a variety of other departments. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for daily activities within the pharmacovigilance team which includes oversight of the medical information provision
  • Ensuring the local affiliate business handles safety queries effectively and in a compliant manner
  • Managing internal systems such as the UK Project System Master File (PSMF) and Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Acting as Local Safety Officer for the UK & Ireland affiliate
  • Work closely with global colleagues in safety to ensure local strategy is in line with regional and global safety practice and risk management plans
  • Run and manage audits and CAPAs
  • Help coach and mentor the local safety team, contributing to the overall success of the function
  • Acting as initial point of contact to regulatory authorities

The successful candidate should have the following profile:

  • Life science degree
  • Significant pharmaceutical industry experience in pharmacovigilance and medical information
  • Ideally experience of devising and running training programmes
  • Excellent knowledge of local, regional, and global regulations
  • Able to demonstrate systems/database management experience
  • Ability to work in a small close-knit function as part of a smaller business, where everyone pulls in the same direction
