Medical Science Liaison - Oncology - Scotland & Northern Ireland
Pharma-Partners is supporting an established small-mid sized global biotech as it expands its UK medical affairs team. This organisation has a long-standing presence in Oncology, with multiple treatments on the market and an interesting pipeline.
This MSL role would see someone work in a proactive not just reactive way with external stakeholders, such as clinicians, HCPs and patient groups. You will be part of a dedicated field-based team focused on Oncology, and work for an inspirational therapy medical leader who has excellent experience in industry.
Responsibilities:
- Providing high quality scientific information to a relevant Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
- Delivering medically sound and credible scientific presentations to relevant external stakeholders
- Supporting Market Access by way of delivering scientific knowledge to payors and decision-makers, and also contribute to national Market Access initiatives
- Closely support commercial Brand teams by providing medical insight to help refine product strategy
- In line with Global medical and Brand plans, execute local medical affairs strategy for assigned products
- Providing support in the field to assist Medical Information in dealing with enquiries
- Ensuring compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice as well as internal company SOPs
Requirements:
- Life Science degree (e.g. BSc, MSc, PhD)
- Significant experience as a UK-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the pharmaceutical industry
- An industry or pre-industry background in Oncology would be a "nice to have" and is not a must
- A strong understanding KOL development in the UK pharmaceutical industry
- Good knowledge of the NHS with a proven track record of analysing scientific and clinical data to support medical strategy
- A good communicator, with a drive to go the extra mile working in a small team
