Medical Science Liaison – London & South East England – Neurology Launch

An opportunity to join an established yet fast-growing biotech, with launch expectations for 2022 into 2023. This role is part of a newly created UK affiliate and medical affairs team, working under experienced leaders in the form of the MSL Team Lead and the Country Medical Director. The focus of this MSL will primarily be on key centres and clinician relationships in London, as well as across other parts of the South East of England.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing robust relationships with HCPs and engaging them through credible, ethical and balanced non-promotional scientific information about assigned products, whilst understanding their perspectives and the challenges that exist when treating patients
  • Working closely with key internal stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive, dynamic territory planning for assigned products
  • Becoming a therapy area and product expert, through on-going review of relevant literature, participation in relevant scientific and medical congresses or conferences, and internal therapy area training to colleagues including Sales teams
  • Participating in HCP advisory board meetings
  • Driving scientific knowledge enhancement and exchange, including KOL and site profiling, wider market insight gathering, and encouraging medical education both internally and externally
  • Contributing to how the overall medical affairs team identifies potential investigators and research projects. This could include providing assistance to the investigator-sponsored trial process, potentially sponsored study site identification, involvement in recruitment strategies, and collaborating with clinical operations colleagues

Candidates requirements include:

  • Life science degree (e.g. BSc, MSc, PhD, MPharm/BPharm, MD)
  • Experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the UK with significant time spent in pharmaceutical medicine
  • Product launch experience would be a nice to have, not a must
  • A background in Neurology or CNS is a nice to have, not a must
  • First rate presentation and communication skills
  • Someone who is excited by the challenge of working in a fast-paced biotech environment, as part of a newly formed team whereby many processes are new
