Medical Science Liaison - Ireland

Pharma-Partners is working closely with an established global pharmaceutical organisation to help recruit a newly created permanent MSL into the UK & Ireland medical affairs team. This company has a close-knit collaborative family feel. Scientifically, this organisation is making noticeable advances in the biologics space.

This MSL role would look after all of Ireland with a particular focus on Dublin. You would manage medical activity for a portfolio of established products, as well as provide significant pre-launch support in your region for a new biologic expected to come to market in early 2021. The longer term will see more products come to market, which would keep you busy working closely with commercial, market access, and regulatory teams.

  • Help build the scientific credibility of the organisation, through engagement with local and national Key External Experts and Opinion Leaders in the therapy area
  • Work closely with medical affairs colleagues as well as market access, commercial, and regulatory to ensure smooth execution of product launch plans
  • As required, provide scientific educational presentations to relevant external groups and stakeholders
  • Identify Investigator Initiated Studies that will enable delivery of presentations at National and International meetings / conferences
  • Provide medical information support in the field
  • Respond to medical enquiries from Healthcare Professionals in the field as required

  • Life Science degree (e.g. BSc, MSc, PhD)
  • Experience as an MSL in the pharmaceutical industry - specifically having covered Ireland
  • Product launch experience is not essential, only desirable
  • A good understanding of KOL development and management in a field-based setting
  • A pro-active and open-minded approach to working in teams
  • First rate communication skills - both verbal and written
