Medical Science Liaison - Immunology/COVID-19 - South UK

Our client has a new indication in development for an Immunology drug that has shown great promise as a treatment for patients suffering with COVID-19. With plans to bring this to market in the next 12 months they are looking to hire a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to cover the South UK and support with all associated pre-launch activities. Beyond work on COVID-19, you will be accountable for a new Immunology focused pipeline drug to also be launched in the next 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a scientific expert in the therapy area
  • Input into field medical strategy for upcoming drug launches
  • Map, establish, and maintain strong relationships with relevant therapy area experts
  • Provide scientific expertise and therapy area training to colleagues as required
  • Work effectively as part of a wider cross functional team, supporting Marketing and Commercial colleagues in preparing for new drug launches
  • Present clinical data and medical education to HCPs
  • Manage compony sponsored or investigator sponsored trials
  • Keep up to date with the latest scientific developments and attend any relevant conferences
  • Focussing on patient outcomes, develop local guidelines to support the use of the company's products
  • Ensure adherence to company SOPs and medial compliance

The Candidate:

  • Educated to degree level with a preference for a relevant higher qualification (MD, MPharm, PhD)
  • Experience as an MSL within the life science industry is essential
  • Therapy area experience in Immunology or Respiratory is desirable
  • Knowledgeable of the UK healthcare system
  • Competent in the ABPI Code of Practice
  • Demonstrable experience in managing key internal and external relationships
  • Effectively assimilate scientific and clinical data to the relevant audience
