Medical Science Liaison - Immunology/COVID-19 - South UK
Our client has a new indication in development for an Immunology drug that has shown great promise as a treatment for patients suffering with COVID-19. With plans to bring this to market in the next 12 months they are looking to hire a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to cover the South UK and support with all associated pre-launch activities. Beyond work on COVID-19, you will be accountable for a new Immunology focused pipeline drug to also be launched in the next 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a scientific expert in the therapy area
- Input into field medical strategy for upcoming drug launches
- Map, establish, and maintain strong relationships with relevant therapy area experts
- Provide scientific expertise and therapy area training to colleagues as required
- Work effectively as part of a wider cross functional team, supporting Marketing and Commercial colleagues in preparing for new drug launches
- Present clinical data and medical education to HCPs
- Manage compony sponsored or investigator sponsored trials
- Keep up to date with the latest scientific developments and attend any relevant conferences
- Focussing on patient outcomes, develop local guidelines to support the use of the company's products
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs and medial compliance
The Candidate:
- Educated to degree level with a preference for a relevant higher qualification (MD, MPharm, PhD)
- Experience as an MSL within the life science industry is essential
- Therapy area experience in Immunology or Respiratory is desirable
- Knowledgeable of the UK healthcare system
- Competent in the ABPI Code of Practice
- Demonstrable experience in managing key internal and external relationships
- Effectively assimilate scientific and clinical data to the relevant audience
