Medical Lead - UK, Ireland and Nordics - Oncology

Pharma-Partners is currently recruiting a Medical Lead for a Top 20 global pharma company to head up their Oncology portfolio for the Northern Europe region.

The Medical Lead will be responsible for planning and implementing medical strategy across the region. With key product and indication launches anticipated in the next few years this individual will lead the Oncology franchise for the region, manage a team of circa 7-10 and really drive forward medical activities on a local and regional level.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as medical lead for assigned products
  • Plan and implement medical strategy for products in development and amrketed
  • Effectively lead and support the medical affairs team members across the region
  • Provide medical and scientific expertise to relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Effectively collaborate with marketing, brand teams, and other key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Market Access teams and input into HTA submissions as required
  • Provide medical training across the business
  • Stay up to speed with market trends in Oncology
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with local, regional and national KOL's

The Candidate:

  • GMC registered Physician OR GPhC registered Pharmacist
  • Candidates must have experience of working in a UK or regional Medical Affairs team
  • ABPI Final Signatory status is desirable
  • Previous line management experience required
  • Experience in Oncology is strongly preferred
  • Effective communicator and team player
  • Excellent presentation and project management skills

Remuneration:

  • Basic annual salary depending on experience plus a standard benefits package
