Medical Information Scientist

Pharma-Partners is working closely with an established small-mid sized Global pharma company to appoint a newly created permanent role. This business has exciting new products to launch in 2020 which will build on an already market-leading presence in the specific therapy area they specialise in. This is a supportive and close-knit business where you can learn and grow in equal measure. You will work closely with medical affairs and drug safety colleagues, and have the opportunity to build relationships with senior leaders within the business

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and escalate medical information enquiries as appropriate
  • Management of the relationship with the outsourced MI provider for first line enquiries
  • Provide oversight of MI key performance indicators and statistics
  • Become the MI system super-user and perform training of colleagues where appropriate
  • Maintain QMS documentation
  • Ensure a review of all standard MI responses is conducted annually
  • Ensure the documentation of all processes
  • Provide MI training to the sale force
  • Develop clinical summaries for local use
  • Work closely with Global medical information colleagues on all relevant MI projects

Requirements:

  • Life Science Degree (i.e. BSc, MSc, PhD, BPharm or MPharm)
  • If a Pharmacist then you need an active GPhC registration
  • Prior experience in a medical information focused role, ideally in direct pharma although experience of working in an outsourced service provider would be considered
  • Someone who can demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • A calm and measured approach to your work
  • An individual who is prepared to work in a smaller organisation, where you often go above and beyond your job description and truly "roll your sleeves" up day-to-day
