Medical Information Assistant - Graduate level

Pharma-Partners are currently supporting a global pharmaceutical company hire a life science graduate to join their medical information team .

This is a great opportunity for a life science graduate to enter the industry for the first time, gain significant training and develop key skills to be an integral member of the medical information team. This role would work across a number of different healthcare products ranging from OTC, devices and prescription only medicines.

*The role requires 2 days in the office and is based near the Bath/Bristol area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be the main point of contact for customers contacting the department either by telephone or electronically, handling 1st line medical information and product related queries, identifying and reporting of Adverse Events and Product Quality complaints within agreed timelines.
  • To effectively manage and coordinate 2nd line medical information and product related queries, directing them to the most applicable resource.
  • To log, manage and maintain a complete and accurate database(s), producing medical information reports/metrics to be shared with internal key stakeholders.
  • To prepare and maintain FAQ documents and their answers, as well as manage the timely update of internal and external product information repositories (e.g. Product Directory) and other resources.
  • Utilise product knowledge and expertise to provide support for key departmental projects, activities and events
  • Perform routine customer-related and departmental tasks and activities. For example, literature searches, clinical paper requests, document translations.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Life science degree
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Understanding of Medical Information and the pharmaceutical industry
  • Any pharmaceutical industry experience would be beneficial

Salary & Remuneration:

  • Basic annual salary depending on experience plus a standard benefits package
