Job title: Medical Director UK and Nordics - Immunology

A leading, top 20 pharma company is looking to hire a medical affairs executive to head up the entire Immunology franchise and manage a regional team of circa 15. The role would lead from a strategic and managerial perspective and be involved in multiple product and indication launches in the area. With a significant product portfolio and pipeline, great company history and opportunity to progress internally this is a great opportunity for an experience medical affair professional to create an impact.


  • Lead and develop the overall medical strategy for the Immunology portfolio plus work as required on the successful launch of the company pipeline in the UK and across the Nordics and Ireland
  • Develop medical plans and operational plans for Immunology portfolio
  • Allocation of resources to deliver outcomes and financial performance
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Immunology team and the relevant commercial leaders
  • Use strong communication skills to lead the broad cross-functional team in the development of strategy and tactics
  • Lead, coach and develop your direct reports, empowering them to deliver on medical strategy
  • Ensure delivery of the medical brand plans
  • Develop strong working relationship across our medical teams including Medical Information, Clinical Development Organisation and Real World Evidence teams
  • Ensure that all programmes are 100% compliant to ABPI Code of Practice, other Nordic and Irish Codes of Practice, local SOPs and procedures


  • MD, Mpharm or PhD required
  • Significant clinical or industry experience in Immunology required
  • Previous medical affairs experience at a UK or regional level required
  • Previously managed large medical affairs teams and implemented strategy
  • Good communication and leadership skills required
