Medical Affairs Director, EMEA - Evidence Generation - CAR-T
Pharma-Partners is working with a pharmaceutical client making headway in the pioneering space of CAR-T. As they go through a growth phase, we're supporting our client with the recruitment of a Medical Director (would consider Associate Medical Director level too) to support activities across the EMEA region.
The Medical Director will play a key role in the EMEA Medical Affairs team with a core focus on driving Evidence Generation activities on an international scale. Providing medical expertise to the business the Medical Director will design and operate a Real-World Data strategy for key assets including traditional Phase IIIb/IV studies as well as current and future methodologies.
The Medical Director will be required to travel internationally on a regular basis which includes attendance at all major conferences.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Real-World Data strategy
- Design Annual Evidence Generation Plan
- Take a strategic overview of evidence generation for portfolio to identify gaps
- Manage process of assessing external study proposals
- Stay up to date with trends across EMEA region
- Effectively liaise with key internal and external stakeholders on projects as required
- Work with Medical Affairs team for EMEA to identify data gaps and evidence generation opportunities
- Communicate with global colleagues to align overall strategy
Candidate Requirements:
- Medical Doctor, Pharmacist or higher qualification in Life Sciences required
- Therapeutic expertise in Haematology, Oncology, Haemato-Oncology, or Immunology is essential
- Demonstrable experience leading Real-World Data projects on an international scale
- Understanding of current and evolving methodologies for Real-World Data
- Experience in co-ordinating Phase IIIb/IV studies
- Medical Affairs experience required, ideally at an EU, EMEA or Global level
- Final Medical Signatory status is desirable but not essential
- Proven leadership experience in a matrix environment
- Effective communicator and relationship management
- Able to travel internationally (minimum expectation of 40%)
