Global Medical Lead - Infectious Disease

Pharma-Partners is supporting an established pharmaceutical business to recruit a UK-based Global medical affairs professional to lead on two important product launches in 2021. This organisation has a long-standing presence in bringing Infectious Disease drugs to market. The Global medical affairs team is vastly experienced yet has a lean structure which means your role is busy, challenging, and brings you into the spotlight of senior stakeholders such as the Global Head of Medical and the CMO.

You will be the regional medical leader for specific regions/territories within this Global function, working closely with regional and country-specific colleagues to knit Global medical strategy with affiliate level launch plans. Your core duties will include:

  • Collaboratively work with Global and regional commercial leaders to implement product launch strategy for these two products
  • Lead implementation of global medical and scientific engagement plans across your assigned region(s)
  • Provide accurate and ethically sound medical and scientific guidance on regulatory issues
  • Closely work with Global medical colleagues on medical governance activities, as well as support local Medical Information teams within your region with scientific guidance
  • Work cross-functionally on pre-launch activities with the likes of Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Research, and Drug Safety teams

Candidate requirements include:

  • Life Science qualification - ideally a physician, pharmacist or PhD scientist
  • Significant experience in medical & scientific affairs in pharma
  • Regional or Global medical affairs experience is required
  • A therapy background in Infectious Diseases or related area is not essential, but would be "a nice to have"
  • Product launch experience is required, ideally at "above country" level
  • Demonstrable track record delivering projects alongside cross-functional colleagues in the likes of Commercial and Regulatory Affairs
  • A proactive attitude to your work and ability to juggle many tasks at once within a truly Global role

To apply for this position please use the "Easy Apply" option or feel free to send your CV directly to the Pharma-Partners team via email info@pharma-partners.co.uk
