Global Medical Director - Vaccines

This role offers excellent working flexibility and candidates based anywhere on the East Coast of United States can be considered.

Pharma-Partners is working exclusively with a large pharmaceutical business to recruit into its renowned Vaccines business unit. This is a key Global Medical Affairs position that will hold responsibility for an innovative portfolio and pipeline of products. In essence this Global Medical Director position will be the global asset lead for their designated Vaccines(s). You'll therefore be accountable for developing and executing the global medical affairs plan, providing medical expertise and scientific leadership to the cross functional asset team, and drive medical evidence generation activities across key international regions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute global medical affairs plan for designated portfolio
  • Align medical and access strategy for Vaccines of responsibility
  • Ensure patient needs are at the centre to access and market strategy
  • Provide medical leadership to cross functional projects
  • Gather and incorporate local insights from key international territories into medical strategy and planning
  • Lead the medical evidence generation plan
  • Ensure all external communications are scientifically accurate and applicable to laws and regulations

Candidate Requirements:

  • MD, PharmD or PhD
  • Specialist expertise in Vaccines, Public Health or Infectious Diseases
  • Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • International/Global experience in a pharmaceutical company is strongly preferred
  • Experience with review and approval processes
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Effective communicator
