Key responsibilities: The role of an Account Executive is a junior position within a client services team. Usually the candidate will be a life science graduate (BSc minimum) or have experience with a project management role. The core focus is to assist a more senior member of the client services team across several accounts. Depending on the agency, this may be logistical support for a symposium, referencing for a publication, internal coordination and management of materials, financial management or general administration. 

During the first 6 months of a role, the account executive will build upon their existing knowledge of various therapy areas. It is also essential to become familiar with the various ABPI regulations. Once familiar with the role and the client brief, individuals may start interacting more with clients on a regular basis. Individuals will also start to interact with various KOL’s within the respected therapy areas.

Typically, an individual would look to progress towards senior account executive level after one year within the industry.

Usually reports into: Senior Account Manager or Account Director

Qualifications: BSc, MSc

Salary band: £20,000 – £25,000 Basic salary, Pension, Annual Leave, Gym membership, Cycle to work scheme,
